According to the government, these apps have been banned in the interest of protecting India's security and maintaining the country's cyber security. On June 29, the central government decided to ban a total of 59 Chinese apps, including TikTok and UC Browser.

 List of 116 banned apps

The list of 116 banned apps that banned on this day includes Beauty Camera Plus, Alibaba Payment, PUBG, Byju, Ludo World, weChat and other popular apps. Earlier, 59 Chinese app including TikTok banned in India. This time 118 more apps were banned. The ban was imposed by the country's Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, mainly on charges of stealing information from ordinary users.

These apps were banned because of endangerment the country's sovereignty and security India took the step after renewed tensions with China in Ladakh. At present, there are about 33 million PUBG users in India. The guidelines have been issued by the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
