BJP's silent procession today to protest police brutality in Nabanna operation, unrest in the city again
Today, the BJP is on its way back. BJP leaders and activists will hold a silent procession to protest the police torture in the Nabanna campaign. A silent procession led by BJP state president Dilip Ghosh will start from the party's state office. The procession will end at the foot of the Gandhi statue.

BJP's new campaign
Kolkata was rocked by the BJP's Nabanna campaign yesterday. To prevent BJP activists tear gas canisters exploded, police, using water cannons. BJP workers were also allegedly lathicharged. It is alleged that the water was sprayed with chemicals. Tejaswi Surya, all-India president of the BJP's youth front, demanded an inquiry into the matter.
Multiple BJP leaders is Sick
Tulakalam has been held in several places of the city to resist the strong police in the Nabanna campaign. Several BJP activists were injured. Raju Banerjee has been hospitalized due to illness. Top BJP leaders have spoken out against the brutal police brutality. BJP all-India president JP Nadda has lashed out at the state police for their behavior.
BJP's allegations refuted
Denying the BJP's allegations, Chief Secretary Alapana Banerjee claimed that the situation had been handled because the police had shown restraint. Police did not use any chemicals. Holi colors have been used for the sake of investigation. On the contrary, he alleged that the BJP had marched in violation of the epidemic law.
