Yogi Adityanath emphasized on creating nutrition gardens in Uttar Pradesh
West Bengal: This is the Corona crisis, the number of malnutrition in the country is the highest. In such a situation, the Uttar Pradesh government was decided to work together the nine divisions of the state during the review of 'National Nutrition Month-2020' to reduce the problem of malnutrition in the state. These nine divisions are Panchayati Raj, Education, Women and Children, Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Citizen Supplies, AYUSH and Horticulture.

Recalling the mantra, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asked his subordinates to ensure that citizens participate more so that malnutrition in the state is erases forever. Government officials have been asked to identify children suffering from SAM (severe acute malnutrition) and MAM (moderate malnutrition) in the state. The Chief Minister also announced that the best district will be rewarded for eliminating the best malnutrition.
The Chief Minister called
for elimination of malnutrition among children and special care for mothers. Yogi Adityanath said that every citizen has to be participate to build a healthy Uttar Pradesh. He also said that efforts must be made to take Uttar Pradesh to the best place in terms of nutrition.
The Chief Minister remembered that how the activists had helped in the deadly control of encephalitis in Gorakhpur and surrounding areas. The Chief Minister also spoke to some children suffering from malnutrition.
The Chief Minister emphasized on the development of 'Nutrition Gardens' with nutritious fruits, vegetables and medicinal plants across the state to help delete malnutrition among children.
In India, September is considered as the National Nutrition Month every year. Yogi said that government schools, residential schools, Angadwari centers and gram panchayats should have land. The Chief Minister also says that every house should have this type of garden.
