Like Google Pay or Paytm, WhatsApp has also entered the field of online transactions. This is why WhatsApp is at the top of popularity after Facebook. It has been reported that this WhatsApp pay will be available in India from now on. The Facebook-owned app has allowed more than 1 million users to experiment with this new feature since 2016. However, after two years, the payment mode has been approved by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). With the official clearance of the app, NPCI said that WhatsApp's UPI payment system has also been launched in India.

Zuckerberg's statement 



Expressing happiness over the launch of WhatsApp Pay in India, Facebook CEO and co-founder Mark Zuckerberg said, ‘We have worked with the National Payments Corporation of India, which has reviewed the whole process to ensure that it is secure and reliable. UPI has used WhatsApp Pay so that people using other apps can also send money here, Zuckerberg said. Care is being taken to ensure that the companies can provide great benefits to the customers

Praising UPI, the Facebook chief said, "By creating UPI, India has done something really special and brought the whole world to small and medium businesses, who are the real backbone of India." Five banks added 

Five top banks have been added to WhatsApp. These are ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, State Bank of India and Geo Payment Bank. Digital transactions can be done on WhatsApp Pay through these five banks. It is mandatory to have an account and debit card in any of these five banks for money transactions on WhatsApp Pay.

How to set WhatsApp Pay on phone



 First you need to update your WhatsApp from Google Play Store to get this new feature. Then open the chat window of WhatsApp on the Android device and tap on the three vertical dots on the right dot. In that list you will get payment options. Chap there. After opening the payment window, tap Add New Payment Mode. Tap Accept and proceed to the next procedure. Clicking Accept will open a new window for you, where you can see the list of WhatsApp partner banks. Choose your bank and verify your account with your phone number. Remember, the number registered with the bank will work in this case.

Then allow WhatsApp to verify your account and SMS (টOTP) will come to your phone to confirm the verification. After giving OTP, WhatsApp will allow payment after verifying your bank. Open the payment page by tapping on the right text.

How to send money on whatsapp 

Take the number from the contact list to whom you want to send money. Go to the chat window and tap on the clip icon. Then click on the rupee icon. Enter the amount of money you want to send. Give UPI PIN for money transfer. Wait for the confirmation message to send money to your chat window.
