Laxmii Movie Review: There was no fear or laughter, Akshay's performance was great but 'Iaxmii' failed to be a Diwali blast.
There was no fear or laughter, Akshay's performance was great but 'Iaxmii' failed to be a Diwali blast.
Rating: 2.5 / 5 Star Cast: Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani, Sharad Kelkar, Rajesh Sharma Director: Raghav Lawrence
Akshay Kumar proved in the movie 'Iaxmii' that he is skilled and extraordinary in all the characters. It was also a much awaited picture of the actor's own acting life. Although the original name of the film was 'Iaxmii Bomb', the name of the movie was changed to 'Iaxmii' due to objections to the name. Full of ghosts and humor, this film will lift the audience from their seats laughing. However, the spice in this film was very low and it could not be a Diwali blast in any way.
However, the actors and actresses of the film did not spare any effort to show their acting skills. Akshay Kumar's characters in the film are Asif / Ailakshmi, Kiara Advani or Rashmi, Sharad Kelkar's real Lakshmi in this film and others are Rajesh Sharma, Ayesha Raja Mishra and Manu Rishi Chadda.
Kanchana vs. Lakshmi
The main problem with Laxmii's film is that it is made irrationally. The film manages to entertain as well as inform. This is director Raghav Lawrence's first film in Bollywood. 2011 Hindi Hot Mooney 2: Kanchana - Hindi remake of the film 'Ailakshmi'. The funny situation that this Tamil film created nine years ago has failed to make a Hindi remake. Yes social message through this photo.Laxmii has tried to go against the customs and traditions of the so-called society, but the way her efforts have been portrayed in the film has failed. This film is an attempt to make political noise with the communities of converts and to show Hindu-Muslim harmony. Photo story As shown in the story of the film, the two main characters of the film Asif and Rashmi love each other and want to get married. But since Asif is a Muslim, Rashmi's parents (Ayesha Raja Mishra and Rajesh Sharma) are bent over and do not want to accept Asif as their son-in-law. The twist in the film comes when the transgender soul Laxmii (Ishrad Kelkar) , who has embarked on a mission of revenge, focuses on Asif. Though the film has been promoted as a ghost-comedy, it is not funny to see Laxmii. The story of the film has turned into a mess.
Acting
Although the film was not a success, every actor, including Akshay Kumar, had a suitable character. No one showed extra performance. There is nothing new to say about Akshay Kumar's performance. He has given his share in this film like other films. Kiarao has also competed with Akshay. The rest of the actors have portrayed their characters properly on the screen.
Failed director
Laxmii could not forget the way the Tamil film Kanchana was a hit. Even after being a ghost-comedy film, viewers will not be able to associate themselves with this film in that way. Director Lawrence has failed to properly address these two important issues of transformational and communal society. Screenplay and dialogue are also very weak. Neither Asif nor Laxmii could make the audience laugh like that.
