West Bengal News: Deputy Speaker Sukumar Hansda Died today at the Apollo Hospital in Kolkata
Deputy Speaker Sukumar Hansda accepted the defeat in the battle of life
After fighting cancer with Corona, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Sukumar Hansda finally gave up. He died at the Apollo Hospital in Kolkata on Thursday morning. He was admitted to the hospital a few days ago. Doctors said he was undergoing treatment for cancer at the hospital. Meanwhile, he contracted the corona virus. Sukumar Hansda was also a doctor by profession. He used to treat patients at Jhargram Hospital. The Chief Minister has expressed grief over his demise.
Though the son of a Congress family, he joined the Trinamool Congress holding the hand of Transport Minister Shuvendu Adhikari. He was the Minister of Western Development. He was then appointed as the Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. He was being treated at SSKM Hospital after being diagnosed with cancer.
From there, Sukumar Hansda was admitted to Apollo, a private hospital in Kolkata. That's where his corona positive report comes from. Political circles mourned the demise of the Deputy Speaker. Leaders of all parties have expressed grief over his death.
