NEET 2020: The cut-off for General candidates has increased in the NEET exam of 2020, the list at a glance

The results of the National Eligibility and Entrance Test or National Eligibility Entrance Test were released on Friday. This year, a total of 14 lakh candidates participated in the medical entrance examination. And this year the cutoff for general category students has increased compared to the previous year.



The cut-off number has increased this year

 The cut-off number has increased this year. The cut-off for general department students was 134 last year. This year it has increased to 147. The cut-off for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and OBCs is 146-113. The cut off for physically challenged candidates among Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and OBCs has been 127-113.

How many have passed?

In the case of general examinees this year, 6 lakh 82 thousand 406 people have passed the examination. Of the generals, 99 have passed the examination. Besides, 19,572 people from Scheduled Castes, 7,837 people from Scheduled Tribes and 61,265 people from OBCs have passed the examination. Among the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and OBCs, 321 have passed among the physically challenged candidates.

NEET test in Corona situation 

The National Eligibility Entrance Test was the first major test in the Corona situation. The test is held on September 13 in accordance with the health protection rules. The Supreme Court had on October 14 ordered a special test for those who failed the September 13 exam. About 14 lakh candidates took the exam this year in Corona situation.
