But if you think of doing these things on Indian railways, you can change your habits in advance. Railways have issued a warning in this regard. That being said, if you do not wear a mask, do not maintain physical distance, then, you may be punished under various laws of the railways. Which includes fines, imprisonment, or both. The RPF will implement the guidelines in this regard.
RPF guidelines
The festive season is ahead. The number of special trains has been increased. After seven months at home, many are reluctant to spend their days like that. They want to be a little independent. However, the Railway Protection Force has advised caution in this regard. Guidelines have also been issued on their behalf. These guidelines will take effect as soon as they enter the railway boundary.
Passenger's duty
Among these, the mask must be worn properly. Social distance must be accepted. Also, if a person with a corona gets on the train, or a suspicious covid patient is waiting for the result, they will not be able to get on the train. If they get in the car despite being told by the railway team, this punishment will also be enforced in their case.
Spitting is also a punishable offense
After entering the railway area, or if a passenger spits from the train, it will also be considered a punishable offense. It is also a punishable offense if a passenger creates an unhealthy situation.
Punishment sections
It has been warned that this punishment will be given under sections 145, 153 and 154 of the Railway Act 1989. Section 145 provides for one month's imprisonment and a fine of Rs 250 for drunkenness or indecency. Section 153 deals with breach of passenger safety rules. In this case, there can be a maximum of 5 years in jail and a fine. Violation of Section 154 of the Railways can result in one year in jail or a fine or both.
